CiviCRM 6.4 includes new features for developers (SearchKit, FormBuilder) as well as performance improvements.
The new version includes visual changes that will hopefully go unnoticed, but make CiviCRM easier to use. We are very aware that CiviCRM often has too many options, confusing labels, and we are working with the community to regularly improve the interface.
- Profile management has been slightly improved to remove some settings that were very rarely used and a regular source of confusion. Ex: the settings for visibility, search listings and weight, related to public listings, were not relevant, replaced by SearchKit.
- In the Contribution Page or Event Page management, the configurations related to profiles has been changed. The in-line profile editor has been replaced by a link to go to the main administration pages for profiles. More improvements are scheduled for this interface.
- Advanced Search has had a few improvements in recent versions. The "Search Settings" are now collapsed (hidden) by default, and a few search criteria have been moved. For example, the "Search in trash" option was renamed to "Search deleted contacts" and moved to the main search criteria. Some field labels were renamed to be more clear to or to avoid "plural(s) form(s)".
The new RiverLea is also available, if you wish to try it (contact us to enable it).
